We are trying to get Bjorn potty trained since he is 3 1/2 now. He's actually doing pretty good. He understands the concept, now it's just a matter of being consistent and getting it down. Potty training has always been the one thing that scares me. So if you have any tips, I welcome them! I made a potty chart and he is really into that. So it's helping. Hopefully it won't take too long!

My philosophy about potty training is that you can't force them. If they're ready, do it. If not, don't, cause you'll just end up having to do it again and again - they train you, instead of the other way around. Anyway, I've never potty trained a boy, so figure it out for me and then let me know how to do it!
Oh..you make me feel so much better! Ty is so ready, BUT I"M NOT!!! I don't like the first couple of weeks of potty training, he even asks to go and I say "later." HOW BAD IS THAT!?!?!
Hey, how is that going? The one thing that really worked with Lindsay was letting her call a Princess whenever she went pee pee in the potty. With born he could call Thomas or Lightning McQueen, ya know, whoever he just loves. It worked magically with Lindsay. I also had a princess blanket on the floor in her room and every night I would tell her she could sleep with it once she went pee pee in the potty. Candy never worked for Lindsay but it could for Bjorn. Anyway, I agree that you need to wait until they're ready but sometimes you just gotta get them to do it.
