Last week we went on vacation to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. We went with Ben and Kara, and Ben's brother and his wife. It was the best. We were there for 6 days! We left our boys behind. Bjorn stayed with Cathy and Tiffany. Isaac stayed with Niki and Jill. Thanks to all of you for helping us and taking good care of our boys! We had such a relaxing week. Here are just a few pictures from the week. We took over 500 pictures, so really this is just a tiny peak!
The boys went out fishing one morning. Ben caught one big fish. Jason got a little sea sick but he said it was fun.
This shows how relaxed we were:) We decided to take a little nap by the pool and Ben and Kara thought they would have a little fun at our expense. They put these flowers all over us and took pictures. They said we were like that for about a half hour. So everyone walking by got a good laugh:)
They had a HUGE buffet plus 4 nice restaurants to choose from. There was every type of food! And it was all inclusive, so you could eat when you wanted, as much as you wanted. You could also get whatever type of drink you wanted all day long. Everyone was always shocked when we would order a drink, like pina colada, without alcohol. They thought we were crazy. I think they were even more surprised to see us having fun and laughing without drinking alcohol!
This was our first night there. We ate dinner then we went down to the entertainment area. They had different shows each night and different venders selling things. This night they had music and there was a group of drunk people dancing, so Kara and I decided we better join them:) They were giving us high five and laughing with us. I wish I would've gotten a picture of that!
This is just one section of the resort. That was the view from our balcony. It was beautiful. It was right on the beach. There were several swimming pools and tons of lounge chairs. Thats mostly what we did... lounge. It was so nice! I took two books with me and had big plans of finally getting some good reading in. I opened my book one day and read one page, and fell asleep. That was all the reading I did the whole week! Pretty sad. A couple highlights of our trip that I don't have pictures of were when we went jet skiing, body surfing and getting my massage. We got to go on a 2 hour jet ski/snorkeling excursion one day. It was really cool. We had never done anything like that before! I got a little motion sick, but I get motion sickness really easy, so I wasn't surprised. One day we spent a couple hours playing in the ocean. Jason was literally in there for two hours. He loved it! And on the last morning Jason scheduled a massage for me. I'm now addicted. It was the best thing ever! We had so many doubts about going on this trip between leaving the kids, money, and work. But we are SO happy that we went. It was so good for us... personally and good for our marriage! I highly recommend to anyone that can!

Ahh! That looks so amazing, I could totally use a little paradise vacation right now. You both totally deserved it and I hope that one of these days we'll get to go with:) (let's plan a trip to Germany) Amy- you are so dang CUTE. Glad you posted so you could rub in the good time you had.
Isn't it so rejuvenating to get some time away with your husband? Nothing better! And Cabo, no less! Do you not get motion sick on airplanes? That would have KILLED me! No, seriously. KILLED me. I hope to never step foot in an airplane again as long as I live. Anyway, I was wondering why you hadn't posted in so long, but this must be why. I'm so glad you got to have a vacation. The only problem is that it is addicting!
Looks like so much fun. We are planning on doing something like that in a year or so, I will have to talk to you. Glad you had a great time, and that you boys were well taken care of.
You guys are so much fun! I need to hang with friends like you!! I LOVE the picture of you guys napping! How awesome for you!! UCMT does massages 2 for 1 some weekends, we will HAVE to go sometime! I LOVE LOVE LOVE getting massaged!!

I was so happy to go on and see the pictures from your trip. It looks like you guys had a total blast and most of all got plenty of R&R! The picture of you guys sleeping was hilarious! I'm so glad you got to go and that it was worth all of the preparation and hard work to get there. I'll talk to you soon.
