Our friend, Ben turned 29 last week and his wife, Kara, has a love of throwing awesome theme parties! She goes above and beyond. Her theme for his birthday party was the 80's since he was born in 1980. So everyone came dressed up and she had her house fully decked out with 80's perifinelia! She's been planning and collecting for months! She had everything... Slinkies, slap bracelets, friendship bracelets, old school Nintendo (you can see Bjorn playing it), and she topped everything off with a rubix cube cake that she made herself. Pretty awesome! It was so fun to get dressed up. She had everyone write a poem for Ben and we had to get up in front of everyone and read them. It was so funny. Everyone had really good poems! We always look forward to her parties! She adds a little excitement to our lives!

Oh man. I have been DYING to have an '80s theme party forever. Unfortunately, I don't have any cool friends (who live close) who would be as excited as me. Nor do I know how to plan and carry out a party of that magnitude. Instead, I just dream about it. Looks like so much fun!
That is so fun. I want to be more like that. Especially for my kids.
