Bjorn has had a wart on the bottom of his foot for the last couple years, and it has just gotten bigger and uglier so we finally decided to do something about it. He has been to the dermatologist twice now. The first time they scraped the top of it and then put beetle juice on it... I know, weird. Then he had to go back 2 weeks later, and this time was much worse. The doctor scraped it and pretty much dug it out, then put beetle juice over it again. Jason was the one that took him and he said Bjorn was so tough. He held Jason's hand and gritted his teeth. So this picture was taken a couple days after that. It blistered up which is a good sign I guess. It has been giving him quite a bit of pain this week and he has just been walking on his tip toes. You would think that he would hate the doctor, but every day he talks about the doctor fixing his foot and making it all better. Hopefully it will go away soon so he doesn't have to go through this process many more times.

Saylor had a wart at that age on her finger that would not go away. She had it froze off twice, which is very painful, and the doctor just kept laughing at how brave she was. He told me, "I have big, tuff highschool football players that come in here and cry like babies!" Saylor never shed a tear. She was very interested in the entire process. However, the wart STILL came back, so the dr. didn't want to traumatize her for life and decided not to try to freeze it again. Instead he told me to wrap it in duct tape until it went away. Sure enough, about three months later (and a lot of strange looks from people because my daughter had duct tape wrapped around her finger) it went away and hasn't returned since. Amazing! Glad Bjorn is brave, too. Poor guy - that sounds like it would hurt!
