Swimming Lessons

If we lived in Boise, Bjorn could've taken swimming lessons from his Aunt Terri this summer! But since that was not an option, he took them at the Legacy Center in Lehi. He loved it so much. It was every day for a couple of weeks. After a couple of days he started asking for goggles. I think he had noticed that a lot of the kids had them, so of coarse he needed them. We got him a pair and I have never seen a little boy so happy. He would put the goggles on every morning about an hour before we would even leave for swimming. I loved watching him every day. He has no fear! He was constantly moving, and diving under the water, whether he was following the teacher or off doing his own thing. I think he at least learned the basic idea of swimming and I have no doubt that he will have it down this summer!

Carnival

Last week, Eagle Mountain had their annual carnival. When we first moved here, we could get away with going and just walking around, but now Bjorn is old enough to know that is not fun. He wants to ride all the fun rides! We thought Isaac might like some of them too, but we tried a couple and he just screamed, even on the merry-g0-round. So he just hung out in the stroller most of the time and had fun watching everyone and everything. I tried going on one ride with Bjorn and just about threw up so that ended that real fast. The first day of the carnival, my mom and dad were here with us so they got to watch Bjorn and grandpa even got Isaac to fall asleep in the stroller. Magic touch! We went out to pizza with them and of coarse I don't have any pictures of that. But we loved having them here and wished we lived closer so we could see them more often.

Visitors

It's rare that we get visitors, so we are always extra excited when anyone comes to stay with us!  Aaron and Carin came for the weekend and I always make the mistake of not taking ANY pictures when events like this happen and I always regret it.  But thank goodness we let Jackson play with our phones all weekend and little did we know, he was taking candid pic's all weekend!  So, thanks to him I have a few pictures to remember the fun weekend we had!  The kids had so much fun playing together.  Isaac really liked Jackson.  Whenever Bjorn would do something to make him sad, he would run to Jackson for a hug.  It was really cute.  We're glad they came and brought some excitement into our lives!

Bjorn Moments

Bjorn is at the age where he is saying the funniest things and repeating everything that he hears... Good or bad.  I have been trying to keep record of these funny moments, but it's easy to get behind.  So I just wanted to document a few of the latest things from his mouth... Enjoy.  

The other day we were driving in the car and Bjorn was doing something that I didn't want him to do, I don't remember what.  So I was trying to explain why he shouldn't do it rather than just telling him to stop.  I was in the middle of explaining and all the sudden he blurted out, "Wo, wo, wo, too many words, way too may words."  It made me laugh so hard and put an end to my explanation.  

You may all remember last month when we had two tubs full of gold fish.  One by one the died off and we would flush them down the toilet.  I told Bjorn that they were going to "fish heaven".  So the other day Bjorn was playing a little video game on my phone where you can pounce on the bad guys and they die (Like mario brothers. Don't worry, we are not letting him play some gruesome game).  So he pounced on one of the bad guys and said "He's going to mean guy heaven... All the way down the toilet."  

I love these moments.  It reminds me how innocent kids are and that they are always listening (even when we think they are not) and that they trust what we tell them.  Wish all the things that came out of his mouth were as funny as these

examples, but he is a normal 4 year old boy and so there are many other un-choice (I don't know if that is a word, but I'm using it) things that come out of his sweet little mouth!   

Hopefully I will remember the good more than the bad!  I think I will.

Totally 80's Party

Our friend, Ben turned 29 last week and his wife, Kara, has a love of throwing awesome theme parties! She goes above and beyond. Her theme for his birthday party was the 80's since he was born in 1980. So everyone came dressed up and she had her house fully decked out with 80's perifinelia! She's been planning and collecting for months! She had everything... Slinkies, slap bracelets, friendship bracelets, old school Nintendo (you can see Bjorn playing it), and she topped everything off with a rubix cube cake that she made herself. Pretty awesome! It was so fun to get dressed up. She had everyone write a poem for Ben and we had to get up in front of everyone and read them. It was so funny. Everyone had really good poems! We always look forward to her parties! She adds a little excitement to our lives!

Fish in our Tub... How can that Be

Our friends got us REALLY good this year! They know how to get into our house, in case of an emergency, or to pull a good prank on us, I guess:) I had taken the boys to the park and I came home anxious to give them baths and get them in bed so I could RELAX! We went into their bathroom and I opened the shower curtain and about fell over because the tub was full of little swimming goldfish! After I gained composure, I started laughing and my first thought was that Jason had done it. So we headed to my bathroom for bath time. To my surprise, we found the same thing there!! I started thinking and knew it couldn't have been Jason because he had been working all day, so I knew it had to be Kara! I decided on no baths and got little Isaac in bed so that Bjorn and I could figure out what to do with all the fish! So much for relaxing:) By the way, the fish stunk really bad! Bjorn thought it was awesome! Kara had put much thought into this sneaky act and left us fish food and a little fish net so we could catch the fish and put them in a bowl or something! There were about 35 fish between both bathtubs! We were able to get them all and I decided to keep them all until they died off, which turned out to be a few days. The boys loved watching them every day and Bjorn even thought it was fun to dispose of the ones that passed on to "fish heaven." April Fools is over, but I am determined to get them back! They better watch out!

Most Recent Pictures

These are some of the fun things we have been up to lately. We had so much fun in Idaho when Shanell and Eric came home! That was awesome! The top picture makes me laugh every time I look at it. Bjorn thought it would be fun to eat his meal in Isaac's high chair. Whatever it takes to get him to sit and eat :) Bjorn and Isaac have loved going outside and playing in the dirt... being boys. It's going to be hard once we plant our garden and they can't sit and dig in it anymore. We have had fun going to the park and Isaac has gotten pretty comfortable with climbing up by himself and going down the slide head first. Each day brings something new... It's fun to watch them grow and learn.

Boys on the Move

Isaac is officially walking! He still looks so little to us, so it's cute to see him walking everywhere. He is so happy and loves trying to keep up with his big brother! I'm sure it won't be long before he's running and riding a bike right along with Bjorn.

Bjorn is happiest when he is riding his bike. He loves trying new tricks and showing off to anyone that is watching him. I have to admit that he's an awesome little bike rider! He knows how to do some pretty cool stuff and I don't know how he learned. He is not afraid to try things and he's really coordinated! It's fun to watch him!

Girl Fun!!

Last weekend my sister Lisa and my niece Kortney came to stay with us! It was so much fun! I don't get to see my family as much as I would like, so I love any chance I get! They came on Friday and we made pizza and listened to old tapes that Lisa made for her missionary (who she later married) when she was a senior in high school. I was on all the tapes as her little sidekick. I was only 10, so it was pretty funny to hear our voices and the way we talked to each other. On Saturday we had a true girls day! We picked up our other niece that is going to BYU right now and went shopping all day. This is the second time that they have come to stay with us and so I'm thinking that we have a new tradition! Thanks to our husbands for letting us play and have fun. We even got crazy and pulled out our matching pj's:) It was awesome!

Bjorn

The other day, Bjorn came downstairs and told me that he had decorated his room and he wanted me to come see. He had found the folder with his preschool papers and had put them up all around his room. It was so cute. He was so happy with himself for "decorating". I love his personality and the clever, funny things he does. We recently bought him his first white shirt and tie for church. He was so excited about wearing a tie that at first he wanted to wear it with all his shirts. I love this age. He is excited about everything and loves life.
